We, Rick and Sue Hodgson, have lived at Lodge Cottage since 2015, opening Little Lodge to guests later that year and Garden Lodge the following year. The cottages and the garden are constantly changing and developing as we are endlessly inspired by new thinking and new ideas. Our guests are always most welcome!
We have been part of Alistair Sawday’s Special Places to Stay for more than 20 years and we are Airbnb Superhosts.

Guests are advised that Little Lodge is an old cottage with low ceilings- guests over 6ft 2″ or so may find the ceilings too low! Both cottages include a small staircase. If one of you has any particular needs please advise us of this before you stay, and together we can assess Lodge Cottage’s suitability for your needs.
Our cottages are designed for romantic breaks for two and have not been designed with babies and children in mind.

George the Dog
You are very likely to meet our welsh springer spaniel George when you visit. He is a cheery, enthusiastic and handsome dog – and if you are with your dog, he will be very keen to get to know him or her.
Lola the Tabby
You are less likely to meet our cat, Lola. While she keeps a lower profile than George, she has an eye for a sunny spot in the garden!
