Lodge Cottages are so fortunate to be right next door to The Royal Oak pub Home – The Royal Oak Inn and we are thrilled that a review of the pub in The Yorkshire Post has given the pub a Five Star rating! As I type this, Rick is busy baking bread for our cottage guests. Ricks makes a fresh cobble for every guest on arrival- along with a small pot of home-made marmalade. We already have a big pile of Seville oranges in the kitchen for this year’s batch.

I have been refreshing the interior of Little Lodge-  built around 1720, its such a pretty cottage and it’s a pleasure to ensure it always looks at its best.
